Andrew Hall is back from New Orleans and has brought with him American pianist and singer Chris Saunders, for a short tour of the UK. We have been fortunate to book both Andrew and Chris, who is a veteran of the New Orleans (the REAL one, over the pond!) jazz scene and counts the likes of Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley and Liza Minnelli among his collaborators. Chris also has many session, TV, radio and movie credits, too. This will be an all-ticket night and half of the allocation was snapped up by those attending the Club last night. Those of us at the Club yesterday were treated to a surprise appearance by Graham Litchfield, who stood in at short notice for an ailing Brian Boles. Thank you Graham for a great night. We do of course wish Brian a speedy recovery...and a speedy return to the club.

16th August: John Paddon night with Brian Carrick and his Algiers Stompers, - celebrating the tremendous contribution made by the late John Paddon to preserving original New Orleans jazz.
