Morning all. Woke up this morning after a great night at the Club yesterday, thinking it was Sunday! Must be an age thing, or else it's the effect that the Easy Riders Thursday band has on me – they were fantastic last night. Anyway, a special event to tell you about:
Saturday 29 March
Brian Boles and the Omega Band will be playing at the Club. The band attracts a large audience at their regular venue 'The Bell' in Nottingham. Expect a mix of jazz standards, blues and popular tunes of the 20th century. Brian Boles leads the band, with Karl Hird (clarinet and saxophone), Frank Hindley (trombone), Don Gwinnet (piano), Ian Wheatley (guitar), Ron Spence (bass) and Steve Upton (drums).
There is certain to be a capacity crowd, so it will be an all-ticket affair. Tickets are £5 and can be reserved by emailing me, or you can purchase them on the door tomorrow - Saturday - and the 15th & 18th. Any remaining tickets will be sold on the night.
See you all tomorrow!
Geoff Mullet, Membership Secretary
