He writes, "Starting with the ‘coming up’ bit, the Easy Riders play this Thursday (has a month really gone by?), then this Saturday, Graham Litchfield makes a welcome return to lead the Queen Street Band. We may well have a guest trombonist, as Colin is otherwise engaged.
On 11 April, the Club holds its AGM, so if you are a club member, check you've paid your subs and get along. The action starts at 7 pm prompt.
Following the AGM, the Easy Riders with Lulu White will provide the evening’s entertainment.
There are a number of ticketed event happening this summer, most of which I’m sure you are aware. New Orleans Heat session on 18 April has long since been sold out, but the waiting list for returned tickets has shortened of late, so if you want to add you name to the list give me a call. It will be a VERY busy night, so arrive early to get your favourite seat.
The following Friday (24th), local blues favourites The Legendary Night Owls are at the Club, playing numbers from their new CD (recorded at the Club last November). Tickets, a snip at £7, will fly off the shelves, but an email will secure yours. They are also available via the club web site: http://louthjazzclub.org.uk/
Delta 6 tickets (6th June) have almost sold out, and ticket sales for the Stockholm Stompers, for Brian Carrick and for the Jellybabies are going well. If you have reserved any tickets for these bands and have yet to pay, I’ll have them at the Club from tomorrow onwards, so raid your piggy banks.
Visitors to the club web site will have spotted another band booked to play: Lulu White and The Ancholme River Jazz Band will be at the Club Saturday 3 October; more details nearer the time.
Happy Easter!
